JUPITER, FL – Michael Dezer, an automotive enthusiast and founding member of the Palm Beach Driving Club, adds 100 vehicles to his car collection after acquiring The Cars of the Stars Museum from Keswick, England.

Dezer purchased The Cars of the Stars from owner Peter Nelson, who spent more than 20 years collecting a variety of rare and unique automobiles.  The collection of 100 cars includes five Aston Martins and other vehicles from the James Bond film series, one of the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bangs, a DeLorean DMC-12 promotional replica from the Back to the Future films, a Ford Anglia 105E used in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets film and five Batmobiles.  In addition to movie vehicles, the collection includes vehicles from the popular television shows such as The Munsters’ Munster Koach, KITT from Knight Rider and Magnum PI’s Ferrari 308GTS.

The Cars of the Stars automobiles will be relocated to the Dezer Collection Museum in Miami.  Dezer has been collecting automobiles since 1962 and the current collection exceeds 600 cars.  In addition to the automobiles, he has purchased and renovated additional buildings to house The Cars of the Stars collection.  The Dezer Collection Museum also contains a 1950s style diner and many other attractions.

“The Cars of the Stars collection was a unique opportunity,” said Michael Dezer.  “I think it is important that a collection like this is kept together.  This is a very special collection of automobiles and I’m thrilled to be able to bring it to Miami.  We anticipate an increase of visitors to the museum to see The Cars of the Stars and the other vehicles in the collection.”

The Dezer Collection is located at 2000 NE 146thStreet in North Miami, Florida.  For more information on hours and admission prices, visit www.dezercollection.com

Dezer Collection Museum

Michael Dezer has been a collector since the 1970s accumulating hundreds of vehicles and thousands of memorabilia items. In 2009 Michael’s collection had outgrown his private 18,000 square foot museum located in the Trump International Beach Resort and a new location was sought out only minutes away. In 2010, a team effort with Brian Grams lead to the opening of the now public museum which was deemed the largest vehicular attraction in the United States. Over 600 vehicles, along with nostalgic memorabilia, food court, shopping and more are spread out under 250,000 square feet of air conditioned roof.
